The D.S. Senanayake College Tamil Medium Past Students Society (TMPSS) formally handed over three smart boards to D.S. Senanayake College on 15 October 2026, marking a significant step towards enhancing the school's educational facilities and supporting technology-enabled learning. The initiative reflects the Society's commitment to translating the bond between past students and their alma mater into practical contributions that benefit current and future generations.
The three smart boards will serve classrooms catering to Grades 6 and 7, Grades 8 and 9, and Grades 10 and 11. Their introduction is expected to facilitate more interactive teaching through digital presentations, multimedia resources, and other technology-enabled learning activities.
The Principal of D.S. Senanayake College, Mr. Sampath Weragoda, welcomed the initiative and commended the past students for their commitment to the school's development.
“Those who never forget the school where they received their education and share its benefits with future generations are truly the strength and pride of a school.
The formation of the Tamil-Medium Past Students’ Society, as part of the D. S. Senanayake College Old Boys’ Association, brings renewed hope for our students' educational advancement and the overall development of our school.
As our school prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary next year, it is commendable that past students have voluntarily come forward to contribute to its continued progress. We hope this Society will create meaningful opportunities for present and future generations.
